A second Waterways Forward (Interreg IVC project) Partners’ Virtual Debate took place on May 24th 2012 and following this it was agreed that 3 main points would be considered further during The Hague meeting:

  • Pro’s and con’s of national / regional responsibilities for water management
  • How to involve private sector and promote strategic stakeholder cooperation?
  • The ecosystem services approach

The outcome of this debate will be ratified by partners in advance of their final project meeting, which will take place in Paris 7-8th November, where a full list of final policy recommendations will be launched.
