Waterways Forward Project – Good Practice Guide

Integrated regional strategies and actions plans will be created through the sharing and transfer of good practices, to support the on-going development of the multi-functional use of Europe’s inland waterways – with our overall aim being to enhance the quality of life of the Continent’s citizens.  ‘Thumbnails’ shown here are examples of good practices identified by partners in their own countries, regions, and organisations. Discussion and exchange of these practices will enable us to home in on those we want to include in our policy recommendations to Europe at the end of the project.

Larger versions of these good practices can be downloaded from the Good Practice Posters & Leaflets page of the Waterways Forward website.  Click on the thumbnail images to view.

The posters above are a selection of the Good Practices identified by partners and produced by Landscape Interface Studio, Kingston University for display, discussion and promotional purposes. They were first displayed at the Waterways Forward Masterclasses in Dublin in September 2011. Kingston University’s Landscape interface Studio are working on the project to provide analysis, communication and dissemination of outputs from the EU ‘Waterways Forward’ Interreg IVC project.

I like those posters and I’m printing them in a format 70×50 to be exposed in a room of our centre of documentation about inland waterways.
I think it’s a good and immediate way to communicate good practices and it’s a concrete tool to increase awareness in our visitors about how varied and diverse the world of european waterways is.
